pedo is really useful. you will also hear "ir a los pedos" meaning to go really fast. "estar al pedo" which is to be really bored. "tirarse un pedo" which you mentioned above, to fart. "estoy en pedo" or "ponerse en pedo" to get drunk. You can also say "che, estaba re escabiado pero mal" meaning.... I was so wasted dude.
